According to Los Angeles injury lawyers, there are plans to have a roving patrol checking for drivers under the influence on Friday May 9th, by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Their goal is to decrease the amount of DUI accidents and fatal crashes Orange County highways.
This is being funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety and originated with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
They have planned this to run from 7 p.m. until 3a.m. and the Tri-City DUI teams have plans to target areas where there is a high incidence rate of DUI accidents and arrests.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has stated that they hope to decrease the rate of deaths and injuries related to driving under the influence as well as property damage.
