Marina del Rey, California-10-30-07: Shortly before 5:00 a.m., Los Angeles Big Rig Truck Accident Attorneys announced on Law Fuel that a 405 freeway big rig truck crash involving a towed crane on a dolly. The California Highway Patrol, Office Sandoval, said the CHP is investigating, as all but one Northbound Lane and two South Bound lanes are closed down.
According the the CHP, witnesses state the dolly towing a large crane fishtailed and caused a large crane to scrape into the ground and to fall into the asphalt. Witnesses on the scene claim that a the crane arm came loose and swung into a freeway overpass pillar and into opposing traffic.
The big rig truck cab caught fire and apparently killed the driver by burning him to death. The CHP is seeking more witnesses. There are no other reports of injury or death at this time. The crash is located by LAX and Inglewood. 405 freeway traffic is not expected to clear up until later. The CHP states that the heavy equipment needed to remove the crane and big rig is stuck in traffic, according to a live FOX News report. The LA County Coroner is on the scene and investigating the death of the big rig truck driver.
